Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and for her enthralling performances in movies. There is a huge fanbase on American as well as Canadian TV. Emily was first interested in acting when she watched her sibling Katie performing in a film. After discovering her enthusiasm for the acting world Emily decided to enroll in classes to learn about it and started to audition. The first time she auditioned was with few ads and soon was included in the show Are You afraid of the Dark, a Canadian horror show for kids. The only part she could get was one that was silent. The first time she was seen on screen was at 15 years old after she was spotted on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Although the show was canceled after just nine episodes, Emily's acting attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. Also a ballet dancer and a photographer Emily was once listed as a Teen as one of the top actors under twenty. In Maxim's Hot 100 List of 2014 placed Emily at number 51.
